Project Summary
The Eastern Upper Peninsula Opioid Response Consortium (EUP-ORC) Implementation project is dedicated to working collaboratively to implement the prevention, treatment and recovery services necessary to reduce harm and heal the persons, families and communities impacted by substance use disorders/opioid use disorders. The EUP-ORC is a 16 - member Consortium addressing the opioid epidemic in a 5-county region of rural Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The EUP-ORC consists of every healthcare facility in the targeted 5-county region, including all hospitals, hospital affiliated clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers, Community Mental Health agency, and Local Public Health agencies. In addition, the EUP-ORC membership includes the regions’ Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan (North Care), a recovery support provider (Great Lakes Recovery), and tribal health agencies.
