Palo Alto County Health Systems is aware that substance abuse is an epidemic in both urban and rural areas and sees a need to assist those in our community struggling with substance abuse. Through the grant we hope to link those already seeking services to providers closer to home so that they do not need to drive so far to get the needed help. We also hope to raise awareness of the problem in the area so that other who are contemplating change will know that there are resources and where they can turn for needed help. Through use of medication we hope to reduce the number of individual who suffer any form of negative consequences as a result of substance use disorders.
